Used Abeka Textbooks & Curriculum Terminology

• Student Text (TXT) contains just the student’s book. There are no answers to the exercises or suggestions for enhancing the subject in this book.
  
  
• Teacher Guide (TG) contains answers to questions in text, scope and sequence, and lesson plan samples. (Grade 1-6 readers are the exception. They contain complete plans for each selection.)
  
  
• Curriculum/Lesson Plans (Cur.) consist of day-by-day lesson plan for teaching and reviewing and interesting activities that enhance the subject. These are designed to help you pace yourself and decide what needs to be done when.
  
  
• Teacher Editions (TE) contain a student text with answers included. Also, a scope and sequence and sample lesson plans. Again, answers for older editions of science and history may be found in the Teacher Guide Curriculum.
  
  
• Teacher Key (TK) contains student text or booklet with just the answers, no teacher’s help. This would include the Teacher Test Key and the Teacher Quiz Key.
  
  
• Answer Key (AK) contains the answers to the text questions so you do not have to read through the entire chapter in order to know the answers. Especially helpful if you have more than one student or are short on time. Economical in comparison to the Teachers Editions, but no Teacher's helps or suggestions are given.
  
  
• Solution Key (SK) consists of worked out solutions for mathematical or chemical problems.
